How much activities are warming climate in 2024

Using scientific datasets, the project applies stats to calculate contributions in 2024.

Energy is notably extracted by investor-owned companies based in NATO countries. The biggest corporate contributors are ExxonMobil, Shell, BP. The carbon-equivalent flux is 5.6 G/year.
Instead following The Paris Agreement countries should decrease annual output by 2% every year.

Extraction of fossil fuels steadily increases: http://data.yt/projections/ @climate

Electric vehicles that can take off and land vertically, but then fly like a plane, are already being sold and used by hospitals and shipping companies. Equipped to move up to 6 passengers or 2 pilots and 3 pallets, its a small yet versatile tool. These vehicles have 5 batteries that give it a range of over 350 miles using current battery technology, though the batteries are intended to be swapped over the life of the aircraft, much like the engine of a traditional aircraft, however, future batteries could feature improvements, meaning the vehicle gets better over time. The redundancy that Electric motors allow more easily than mechanical motors means this aircraft is far safer than anything else in the air.

Xi is pushing climate, study shows

Enabling climate acceleration are economic sectors such as land use, China coal, Saudi Aramco, Coal India, Gazprom (Russia), National Iranian Oil — in that order.
Since 2021, China coal sends more carbon in the air than NATO equities and Arab states combined. The China coal sector is increasing capacity and is delivering 12.7 GtCOe in 2024.

The state said it would make a plan that would fully decarbonize its transportation system within 20 years and would soon begin work expanding bicycle lanes. It also plans to spend at least $40 million by 2030 installing electric vehicle chargers.

Discussion of climate, how it is changing, activism around that, the politics, and the energy systems change we need in order to stabilize things.

As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades: Graph of temperature as observed with significant warming, and simulated without added greenhouse gases and other anthropogentic changes, which shows no significant warming

How much each change to the atmosphere has warmed the world: IPCC AR6 Figure 2 - Thee bar charts: first chart: how much each gas has warmed the world. About 1C of total warming. Second chart: about 1.5C of total warming from well-mixed greenhouse gases, offset by 0.4C of cooling from aerosols and negligible influence from changes to solar output, volcanoes, and internal variability. Third chart: about 1.25C of warming from CO2, 0.5C from methane, and a bunch more in small quantities from other gases. About 0.5C of cooling with large error bars from SO2.

Recommended actions to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the near future:
